Zedé is a dedicated and seasoned organizer who has been at the forefront of social change since the remarkable age of 17. With a deep-rooted passion for social change and an unwavering commitment to underserved communities, Zedé has consistently taken an action-oriented approach to address the challenges and issues faced by those who are oftenoverlooked.
From an early age, Zedé has been a resource connector and a solution-oriented visionary. Armed with a relentless drive to create a world where communities thrive, particularly for the safety and well-being of our young and dependable community members, Zedé has actively sought to bridge gaps and foster positive change.
In addition to being a dynamic force in social disruption, Zedé is a proud home birth mama and a fearless advocate for empowered and informative birth experiences for all. This personal commitment extends beyond Zedé's family life to a broader advocacy for accessible and respectful birthing experiences.
Currently serving as the Director of Seeds Worth Sowing, Zedé plays a pivotal role in piloting initiatives that sow seeds of actionary change in communities. As a homeless prevention worker, Zedé brings a compassionate and proactive approach to supporting those facing housing challenges, embodying the belief that everyone deserves a stable and secure place to call home.
Notably, Zedé serves as the Launch Committee for the Meaningful Life Loft, a groundbreaking African American community center set to launch in the heart of South Minneapolis in spring 2024. In this role, Zedé is instrumental in shaping and bringing to life a space that promises to be a unique hub for community empowerment, cultural celebration, and meaningful connection.
